I lived in Ukraine from 2004-2006. I’ve been back twice, and this summer, I’m going back a third time with my new wife for the temple dedication in KievI have a lot of friends over there, and a lot of places that I want to see still in that country, but I’ll only be there for 5 days. That means a quick trip to one city, or stay in Kiev for 5 days. I need the internet’s help here. If you have ever been to Ukraine, currently live in Ukraine or someday dream of going to Ukraine, I’d like to know where you would go if you only had a short time to be there.

5 Great SeeStyles Themes for Coda
July 28th, 2010 ¤ 0
About a year ago I pirated Coda, which is probably the best web development platform on the Mac. After the first update I got a pop-up about how I was stealing from a bunch of poor coders that just wanted to make my user experience better. I felt immediately guilty and purchased Coda that day. It was one of the best purchases that I’ve ever made.
Coda actually has a great feature that allows you the option of tweaking the color scheme and then lets you export your color settings as a .seestyle file so that you don’t have to worry about losing that perfect shade of whatever it is that you wanted so badly.
Here are some of the best examples I found:
WordPress 3.0 Update and Video
June 17th, 2010 ¤ 0
Thelonious is out.
The long awaited 3 Point Oh.
The friggin’ day after I finish optimizing my blog on 2.9.2.
However, there are a lot of great things about the new update.
This might be the best thing to happen to the internet since ESPN 3′s live streaming of the World Cup.
Here’s my take on the new WordPress update.
Site Update and Explanation
June 17th, 2010 ¤ 0
I’ve been working on chriskirkham.com now for a week or so. I decided it was time to take it seriously. I’m going to start populating the blog with actually useful content about things that actually matter, but until that happens, I’m going to just explain a little bit of what’s going on. So here’s the breakdown:
1. Preparing for the mobile web
2. I’ve put up some ads
3. More frequent posts

Technorati and Some Changes
June 10th, 2010 ¤ 0
I’m registering my blog with Technorati, because I want everyone over there to realize that I’m a fail blogger. I know they don’t care much about what’s going on here, but I hope that I’ll be able to use the Technorati experience for a future post. recently decided that I was going to take chriskirkham.com in a different direction. Since I started the site I’ve gone from journalism student to freelance journalist to unemployed journalist to online marketer. And yes, I do feel a little bit like I sold my soul when I got hired to be a professional blogger.
Twilight Disinterest Graphic

Twilight bores me to tears.
The book is practically pornography for girls- a bunch of people talking about their feelings and never doing anything.
The perfect life.
But it was so poorly done and so useless and now it’s so huge. But I am never going to watch it. I can think of a thousand better uses for a couple hours, like making a dozen images like this.
Online Education Video Infographic

So lately my job has had me doing a lot of these sort of things. However, I really enjoy doing it so you won’t find me complaining. I’ve started a second one that is already infinitely better than this one. I’m a big fan of making these, so you’ll probably see more of these in [...]
American Idol Infographic

My job is weird. And oftentimes I have to remember that what I do is probably more awesome than I care to believe. To prove it I am going to show you the American Idol Infographic that I spent literal days researching statistics for. I just want to show on my own blog (which only [...]
